This happened to me years ago now. Me and a friend were travelling for a short midweek break. It was supposed to be a 4 and a half hour journey there, no problem right? It’s only a few hours.

My friend arrived and we started the journey and as you’d expect everything was fine, normal journey chilling and talking as lads do, we took some food and water with us as the rooms we had only included breakfast in the mornings. We almost always avoided services if we could as it just ruined the flow of the journey.

We’d made it the majority of the way there hassle free, but I’d started to feel the urge to go pretty bad… We had about 50 minutes remaining until we’d get to the B&B, 20 minutes on the motorway and the last 30 on small country roads through small villages, No problem I thought. The last 20 minutes on the motorway took almost double because there had been a small accident and everything was slowed to a crawl in one lane, the services were beyond our turn off the motorway, so they weren’t an option.

I was really desperate by the time we were leaving the motorway, small village after small village there was no public bathrooms I could see. I kept myself composed as best I could but the seatbelt on my bladder was torture. The Satnav said we had 15 minutes left, but by this point I was bursting. We were coming up on a caravan park which I asked my friend to pull into… relief was close, or so I thought.

I walked to the main office, every step I could feel in my bladder, my body knew I was close to relief so the urge only got worse. I asked the staff if there were some toilets I could use but they stated they’re only for members of the caravan club and I was turned away… So close to some relief but so far. I walked carefully but briskly back to the car and off we went again, i was counting down the minutes left on the journey. The closer you get the more your body begs for relief, and the harder it is to hide my actual need from my friend. It was his car afterall and he wouldn’t have been happy if i pissed in it haha.

We were two minutes away and i was bursting by this point, my bladder felt rock hard and I held the seatbelt slightly away from me to relieve some pressure, my eyes felt like they were floating. We pulled into the car park and I said I’d jump out and get the room keys while he parked. (this was also so I could hold myself) I hobbled into the small conservatory where they serve breakfast and deal with customers. “Ring the bell and wait for assistance”, the last thing I wanted to see. I rung the bell and waited for what felt like an eternity. I’d undone my button on my jeans and was holding myself through my pocket. An older gentleman came from outback and I gave him all the information to book us into the rooms. He couldn’t have typed much slower on the computer. Luckily he couldnt see me behind the counter. He explained the times that breakfast was served, how to get in contact if we needed anything and all the other information, but all I could think about was peeing.

He handed me the two keys and I made my way outside. Now I had the keys, my body knew there was a toilet within reach. I took my steps carefully and headed to one of the rooms without taking any notice of my friend. Getting that key in the damn lock, you know how it is. I thought I was going to piss myself right there at the door. I flung the room door open, rushed to the bathroom and finally, sweet sweet relief. You all know just how good it feels to finally get relief. I finished up and went back out, gave him his key for his room and grabbed my bags.

Any longer and this story would’ve ended slightly differently. Let’s just say I’m a little more careful on journeys now, Never quite know when there will be something to extend the journey 😆.

Let’s get this forum moving peeps!

Omg the caravan park turning you away I would have cried. 😭 So close and then nothing, and you know the second you almost get relief it gets ten times worse, that’s the most evil part.

The seatbelt thing I know exactly what you mean, holding it off your stomach like it’s gonna help but you do it anyway lol. And the key in the door!! Why does that always take forever when you’re absolutely dying…?

Honestly you did so well, two minutes away and still holding it together? I’ve lost it way further from home than that and I was actively trying not to… 😂

Love that you shared this, keep them coming, this is literally what I made this place for! xoxo

The caravan park almost ended me I swear, The panic when I was denied while my body was begging, torture.

Honestly, keys and doors must have made an agreement when they were designed to be as fiddly as possible when we’re in rush, like magnets pushing away from eachother so the key never goes in 😂

Them two minutes took all my strength, trust me haha. Oh, lost it way further away huh?… Now that’s a journey I’d like to be part of! 😏

Thank you giving us a place to post. Hopefully this stops people holding back and get things flowing here!😉🤞
